This set includes one Posh rope of approximately 8.5 meters; a perfect budget-friendly choice for those just starting out and wanting to explore rope without a big investment. A beginner rope set of three is also available.
Posh (short for portside out, starboard home) is a modern synthetic rope originally used in sailing. It’s designed to stretch very little. Recently it has become increasingly popular within the Shibari community thanks to it's soft texture, easy maintenance and sturdy feel. It's even strong enough for suspension (only when you are experienced enough).
Compared to materials like nylon, PPMF, or hempex, it feels gentler on the skin, making it ideal for people exploring rope in ways that feel safe and comfortable.
As with all Shibari practice, communication is key. There may be moments when the person being tied no longer feels comfortable, and that should always be respected. We strongly encourage learning from an experienced practitioner and keeping a safety cutter within reach at all times.
